I am a passionate and dynamic forester, specializing in Tropical Tree Reproduction, Tropical Tree Genetics, Forest Productivity, and Conservation Genetics. My journey in research began as a seed technologist, which further fuelled my interest in the reproductive biology of trees. During the pandemic, I seized an amazing opportunity to delve into the beauty of studying the reproductive biology of selected tropical tree species and the impact of climate change on tree reproduction. In this pursuit, I embarked on a journey to understand the phenological and reproductive variations among red, sour, and sweet tamarinds. My research focuses on understanding the challenges confronted by tamarind cultivators in our nation due to the unpredictable fruiting patterns of tamarind. Given that India holds the title of the largest producer, consumer, and exporter of tamarind globally, my goal is to establish a comprehensive database detailing the variations observed in various tamarind genetic resources. This initiative aims to provide recommendations for the most suitable resources for plantation establishment, ultimately addressing the difficulties faced by growers. As a forester driven by community interests, I adhere to my motto: 'Wood, Food, Livelihood: Striving for Sustainability.'I am consistently on the lookout for chances to expand my skill set, aiming to forge a career in the realms of forest restoration and sustainable natural resource management. With a personable demeanor, I also excel in collaborative team environments, meeting designated timelines while ensuring exceptional quality in results.
