- Investigated the role of the chromatin remodeling activity during transcription initiation at the yeast promoters. - Developed a site-specific disulfide crosslinking in vivo assay to measure intranucleosomal histone-histone interactions in yeast and human cells.- Using structural information to screen for sites that are ideal for cysteine mutagenesis, functional characterization of the mutated sites and use the assay to address the chromatin state of histone variant H2A.Z containing nucleosomes at the promoters during transcription initiation in yeast.
