About Chitranjan Singh

My journey in design began early, inspired by my mother, who owned a design boutique. I spent countless hours in her boutique, where I discovered a natural talent for Art and Design. At 14, I began customizing my old clothes and shoes, driven by a desire to express my creativity and push the boundaries of what was possible with the materials I had at hand. This early exploration fueled my love for design and set the foundation for my future. In 2010, I decided to channel this passion into a professional career by majoring in leather design at NIFT, Chennai, India’s most prestigious design institute. There, I immersed myself in the intricate world of leather garments, products, lifestyle accessories, and footwear design. The rigorous training provided me with a deep understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of design, equipping me with the skills necessary to succeed in the competitive fashion industry. With over 8 years of experience, I have established myself as a dedicated designer specializing in footwear, leather accessories, and leather goods. My work is characterized by a focus on high-quality, natural, and durable materials that are not only sustainable but also meaningful. I believe that every product should tell a story, and I bring a sharp eye for detail to ensure that my designs are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally superior. My passion for fashion styling and photography has been a constant companion throughout my career. Initially focused on fashion photography, my interest gradually expanded to nature and landscapes. This evolution has provided me with fresh perspectives and inspiration, which I integrate into my design work. After relocating to Australia, I expanded my focus beyond fashion and design, actively building relationships and connections across multiple industries. This broader professional network has enriched my design work and opened new avenues for collaboration and innovation. In addition to my professional pursuits, I am committed to continuous self-improvement. I engage in activities like reading self-help books, listening to podcasts, and honing my leadership and communication skills. I also prioritize my mental and physical health, recognizing the importance of balance in achieving long-term success. As I look toward the future, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. My diverse experiences across different fields and locations have shaped my unique approach to fashion and design, and I am eager to continue exploring, creating, and making a meaningful impact in the industry.
