Furthermore, over 5 years as in-house legal counsel, which included advising on various commercial projects in the Asian Region and the drafting of various legal agreements, advising on issues such as anti-money laundering compliance, general legal due diligence as well as advising on financial arrangements/structures.Completing law school and practicing law in Hong Kong for over 20 years has provided an invaluable experience as to what it takes to be a successful lawyer. However, it was clear that I am truly a Canadian in terms of culture and ethical values. I have therefore sacrificed and chosen the difficult road to return and provide a better lifestyle for my family as well as take care of my parents here in Canada. The difficult road to qualify for the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society has given me inspiration and confidence to prove myself further to be a useful commodity to your firm and the community.
