I concentrate my practice on complex litigation and intellectual property matters, with a focus on U.S. patent litigation, trade secret litigation, ITC 337 investigations, contested Patent Office proceedings, and IP licensing and counseling matters.Currently, I split my time between Greater China (where many of my clients are based) and the U.S. based on case needs, allowing our team to provide on the ground and real time advices to our Asia-based clients, particularly during the first half of litigation, where developing early sound strategies and handling fact discovery effectively are critical to obtaining the utmost efficiency while achieving eventual successes for our clients. For over 20 years, my team and I have had the privilege and honor to represent many international corporations and diverse technology clients in patent litigation and/or trade secret litigation--including computer, semiconductor, server, liquid crystal display, optical storage, software, self-balancing vehicles, robotic devices, biotech, supplement, container, battery, and mobile phone/telecommunication companies. The litigation successes for these clients include several complete defense victories after trial, on summary judgment, and/or after appeal (to Federal Circuit, and even one case to the U.S. Supreme Court where all nine Supreme Court Justices ruled in favor of our client Quanta Computer on the issue of patent exhaustion).I also help clients develop offensive and defensive patent strategies by guiding them in pre-litigation analyses and license negotiations, providing opinions of counsel, handling contested Patent Office proceedings, and managing patent portfolio development.I have also represented clients in commercial disputes and has experience with internal investigations, FCPA, and international arbitration matters in Hong Kong (HKIAC) and Singapore (SIAC).
