Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing  Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development  Meet with Managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines  Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures  Daily Backups and monthly backups are done and tested if okay and ensure external backups are kept safe  Ensure  Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal  Ensure proper deployment of anti-virus (Symantec Endpoint protection 11.0) to all client machines including all servers.  Ensure VPN sites (AFGRI Choma, AFGRI Mkushi farm center and AFGRI Mkushi Bunker) are connecting to Head office.  Ensure all software licenses are up to date inclusive with ZICTA licenses for VPN site Vsats  Ensure Exchange logs (Exchange 2010) are cleared and mail flow is running well both on mail server and Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) and ensure emails re being synchronized between the servers and the user mobile phones (Blackberry’s)  Input and maintain IP addresses  Install and maintain foolproof and passwords  Monitor security of all technology  Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
