Chris Joyce is a partner within PwC’s Healthcare Advisory practice and has spent more than 20 years helping payers transform, grow, and better serve their members and communities. In that time, Chris has also spent time advising provider systems, international health care agencies/ministries, ancillary service providers (dental, behavioral, PBM, etc.), and community-focused healthcare non-profits.Chris focuses on helping healthcare payer organizations plan and execute core administrative and digital technology transformations (claims, billing, enrollment, membership management, etc.), value based payment & reimbursement initiatives, and merger & acquisition due diligence through integration programs.Chris has led multiple healthcare payer claims, payment, and back office transformation initiatives from strategy and product selection through implementation and he has led claims, membership, enrollment, and billing platform initiatives at more than 30 healthcare payers across the US and international markets. His experience and knowledge in the core claims platform space spans the market leading healthcare solution platforms, BPO organizations, and TPAs. Additionally, Chris has advised international public and private healthcare payers on claims and payment platform initiatives across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Chris also has deep healthcare technology experiences that include process automation (RPA), IT strategy, Agile application development, testing, and large data migrations.Prior to joining PwC, Chris held executive positions at Accenture, Conseco, and Midway Games. Chris began his career as a speechwriter for the former Prime Minister of England, Sir Edward Heath, and was the ghostwriter for Sir Edward’s autobiography “Music, A Joy for Life” published in 1997. Chris has formerly served as a member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Council and is a past board member and board chair for the non-profit performing arts organization, Eighth Blackbird, a 4-time Grammy winning contemporary chamber music ensemble.
