Brought 'bleeding-edge' open-sourced technologies into the industry, for the purpose of provoking enthusiasm from quality engineers to join the company in an industry perceived as technologically backward at the time being. Recruited, built and managed an entire R&D team of gaming theory researchers, software developers, infrastructure specialists and design artists for development of cutting-edge massively multi-player online gaming solutions for international game operators. Products range from games, mobile apps, patent-pending algorithms, financial transaction management systems, Facebook applications, social networks, payment processing services and business operation support systems - a full-blown end-to-end platform solution encompassing both software and hardware to support large scale online games.As Chief Architect, I designed a gaming platform architecture that leveraged technologies of cloud computing, RESTful web services, dynamic languages and advanced hardware products. During 2003 I managed the delivery of an enterprise content management (ECM) platform for a large state media conglomerate in China. While Hong Kong-based, I constantly flied to market areas to help local sales teams close business deals by meeting customers to promote Sun technologies and introduce Sun solutions.
