I have a passion for learning child psychology and pursuing a career in this field!!I have been studying over 5 years within the early years sector which has gained me my Psychology Masters and BA Honours Childhood Studies Degree. I am now taking my educational route further to complete my MSc Psychology where I will gain different skills and knowledge that I can add to my professional attributes. I enjoy working in a team and have the confidence to take the lead and delicate others. I have previous work experience being a team leader of an early years setting. This role allowed be to run the room with the help of my team players. I was able to recognise their different skills and abilities and direct them to tasks within their ability. This has given me confidence to carry this role out again as I was able to help others make positive change.Within my current employment position, I am working with a team of adults with children in supervising their health and safety but also taking their learning and development further with planned and unplanned learning experiences which are age and stage appropriate. I enjoy this as it is very rewarding seeing positive outcomes. I have experience working with the families and their children in this setting with other professionals for families to get the help and support they need at the right time. I am fully aware of Scottish Government early years policies and legislations which gives me knowledge on how to provide children with the best care. I am interested in taking my knowledge further and supporting children and young people with their mental health. It would be great for me to gain experience within this field of work and learn from others.
