I am spending my time alongside my degree within different schools in order to develop my teaching skills. I have therefore gained experience in not just Neasden Primary School, but Mountbatten too, where I have worked closely with younger classes, such as the Foundation Stages.

I have been studying at The University of Hull for three years, where I have looked at both the literature and language aspects of English. While studying I have studied a range of different genres within the Literature side of the degree, such as, Crime Fiction, Gothic Fiction, Contemporary Fiction and Renaissance Ltierature. Along with this I have also looked at Linguistics, Language Theories and Language Teaching and Communications. Studying both Language and Literature has enabled be to become a more knowledgeable student.

I am choosing to gain teaching experience within schools while finishing my studies at Hull University. Within Neasden Primary School I worked alongside the Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 coordinator, where I oversaw group work and conducted individual reading. While at Neasden Primary School, I broadened my experience by working with Foundation classes, Year 2 classes, Year 4 classes, and both Year 5/6. While gaining this experience I was able to work with both excelling and challenging children, allowing me to gain experience and work closely with SEN students.

I am a Shop Assitant at Holly M's Sandwich Shop where I take part in food preparation, ordering, handling cash, closing and opening the shop, staff training and customer service. I have withheld a part-time job at this establishment for 6 years, and have always been reliant and trust worthy.

I gained a job at Next over the Christmas period, where the shop was looking for Boxing Day staff. Although the job was not permanent I ensured that I took the roles very seriously and used my time at Next to become a better employee. While at Next I worked on the Shop floor dealing with customers, and customer complaints, while tidying and sorting stock. In addition to this I was also trusted to work in the stock room where I sorted the stock and ensured that all the items where security and price tagged.

I worked at TNS alongside my studies at Wyke Sixth Form College where I conducted surveys for companies such as Public Health England. During my time at TNS I was able to become a more professional and patient employee.
