Throughout my 3 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a large range of age groups, such as babies, toddler and pre-schoolers. I have also had the opportunity to work with SEN children, something that I have thoroughly enjoyed. This exposure to special needs and speech and language barriers has been a significant learning curve, however this has been extremely rewarding for me. I have participated in a number of training courses, including Forest School sessions. This is an after school club at a local school where the toddlers are taken to an external park where they learn about the environment, safety, creativity, sharing and relationships.Expertise include:• Training on: COSHH, Food Hygiene, Prevent Duty and First Aid.• Heading Forest School sessionsDay-to-day duties:• Changing nappies/taking children to the toilet• Preparing meals for children• Leading activities• Planning and observations on children and other key worker duties• Assisting children when dressing• Cleaning and other housekeeping duties• Communicating with parents & guardians on their children’s development• Making display boards• Attending nursery outings• Working as a team with my colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
