The Decisive Point provides purposeful strategic communication support to clients across Government, Defence and Defence Industry. As the Operations Coordinator, I was heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the business while also working on the the development, coordination, and execution of strategic communication deliverables for clients.

Women & Democracy is a leading Maldivian non-profit organisation working to champion good democratic governance and the promotion of women’s rights and empowerment. I completed an internship at W&D through my New Colombo Plan Scholarship. During my time at W&D, I developed proposals for multiple grants aimed at non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and non-profits, coordinated meetings with international NGOs and foreign government representatives and coordinated and moderated a significant roundtable discussion in collaboration with representatives from the U.S. Department of State to bring together women's rights NGOs across the Maldives.

The aim of the New Colombo Plan (NCP) scholarship is to lift the knowledge of the Indo-Pacific region in Australia. In 2022, I lived in Seoul, South Korea for 7 months where I completed Political Science studies at Yonsei University for a semester and undertook full-time Korean language training for 2.5 months. Following this, I spent 2 months in the Maldives interning at a leading national NGO, Women and Democracy.My NCP program was a transformative experience that has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the world of Defence and Foreign Affairs

I was responsible for preparing parliamentary materials and assisting with constituent engagement. I collated research on Bills before the Chamber, collaborated with office staff to execute community-based campaigns, engaged with community stakeholders to champion local issues and utilised graphic design software to create branded materials for community events.
