The Team builds a space rover that can compete in the desert, accomplishing tasks like picking up samples and navigating over obstacles. I am on the Mech team, and I am working on redesigning the rover's mast to be lighter and stronger. The sub team has created a new part in solid works and researched new materials.

After a rigorous interview process, I oversaw a group of first year engineering students and helped introduce them to the Queen’s community and engineering traditions. The mentorship continued past orientation week as I provided homework help, study resources, and planned socials. I mixed fun and academics and remained enthusiastic throughout the entire orientation week to help the first years to make connections and enjoy integration into Queen’s.

I worked on multiple projects with other interns and was able to effectively collaborate and communicate with changing managers. I learned about the backend of businesses such as knowledge bases, communication with clients, and financial choices. I proofread documents, created proposals for new organizational systems in IT Glue, helped migrate databases, audited the quality of calls, and helped track work using excel.

I work as a sales associate in a high paced environment. I keep track of the many different types of products and promotions to properly advise customers. I work at the registers, greeting at the front, cleaning, and stocking and organizing items in the back. I have been employee of the month and am regarded as a very friendly and helpful colleague.

I helped deliver a week-long technology course to a group of 20 children of varying ages. It covered binary numbers, robots, and block coding. Due to my success in delivering the program, I was then invited back to modify the course to better emphasize successful learning outcomes.

Technovation is a coding competition where a group of girls create an app to solve a problem in their community. I advised a middle school team on time management, teamwork, and app development.
