Support the growth of a healthy, local food system in Lincoln County by conducting a Community Food Assessment identifying community assets, needs, gaps and desires related to emergency food, food access and security, local food, fisheries, farms and agriculture. This includes: field work; community organizing and outreach; public speaking; meeting facilitation; event and workshop planning and implementation, partnership building; and report writing in order to gather community data, input and participation to strengthen Lincoln County's food system.

Support the growth of a healthy, local food system in Malheur County. Activities ranged from building partnerships between area organizations and resources to community organizing and outreach. Supported and facilitated food projects, such as the Four Rivers Community Garden and Nyssa Farmers' Market, through meeting facilitation, research, event planning and grant writing. Instrumental in the creation of a Local Food Guide designed to increase community awareness about food and agriculture. Coordinated food and garden educational opportunities and workshops, including creating a summer garden and nutrition education program for Boys and Girls Club members. Also worked with small area producers to reach new markets.

Facilitated service-learning experiences for participating U.S. high school and university groups. Responsible for programming of, and participation in, immersion experience for groups concentrating on community development work projects, cultural activities and formal educational opportunities. Conducted Spanish/English translation for groups.

Lead 12-member team for Mexico Project, which included team selection process, 5 month team-preparation, fundraising, project management and oversight both on campus and in Mexico.

Research, writing news stories including features such as a profile on Andrew Cuomo for the 2006 election cycle and broadcasting on-air.

Research, athlete outreach, and writing briefs on genocide and the present situation in Darfur for the organization's campaign to bring peace to Darfur.

Running PR department, research and helping with episode production for the PBS series "Character Studies."
