Over the past year and a half I have worked for Cardiff Council within the NHS Wales TTP Service. I was originally hired as a contact tracer. Due to my work ethic and high case completion after 1 month I was chosen to work the priority cases, dealing with the most vulnerable individuals. Ensuring they were reached as quickly as possible and provided the correct advice. Within 2 months I was selected to work on the Arriving Traveller Team, monitoring and tracing any arriving travellers within Cardiff and & Vale. Ensuring their close contacts were identified, compliance with isolation and providing support / advice. By my third month I was selected by the Operational Manager of TTP to join the Intelligence Cell Team which was a small team of 7 others. The team analysed data of positive cases of Covid-19 to identify trends and patterns of transmission within Cardiff & Vale. Creating reports for Welsh Government. Identifying clusters and weighing up risk of onward transmission. Reporting any issues / risks during a daily meeting with SRS / PHW / Health & Safety team / Head of Testing. Promptly actioning a response to these issues based on the advice from the different organisations. On 1st April 2022 I started a new role as a Health Protection Officer for NHS Wales TTP Service, working under the SRS team. Monitoring and risk assessing the cases of Covid-19 within care homes across the Cardiff and Vale regions.
