I have adapted a broad range of transferable skills such as data analysis, which I developed to construct an Extended qualification project to which it was crucial to analyse the data I used, recognising if it was accurate and valid. Another example is leadership skills, which I demonstrated as a captain of my school netball team, this compromised of organising our team equipment and matches to which further improved my communication and organisational skills. Looking to forge a career in medical research I have undertaken previous work experience in a veterinary laboratory where I used various laboratory equipment such as using an optical microscope to identify parasites within animal samples and a centrifuge when dealing with animal blood samples.
