I am a highly diligent, flexible and self motivated individual. I have a strong MSK background after working in a variety of sports and private practice settings over the last 6 years. My case load included treating professional fighters, strong man competitors, amateur long distance runners, climbers, rugby, squash, swimmers, netball, badminton and tennis teams. I have recently taking on the challenge of looking after the Nottingham Trent University Rugby Union team which I thoroughly enjoy.I have recently finished being on tour with Shrek the musical where I have had the opportunity to work as a loan worker treating a variety of dance and costume related injuries. I mainly helped injury prevention and management and I was given the responsibility of deciding if a dancer was fit to perform. At times this was difficult as cast members did not like to be off the show and I was required to show strong clinical reasoning skills with my decision making.In the previous private practice clinics I built up a very busy case loads with patients presenting many different sporting and non sporting MSK problems. I am confident in assessing, planning and clinically reasoning appropriate treatment plans. I understand the impact an injury can have on an individual and the importance of providing a correct advice, treatment and rehabilitation programme.Whilst working within the clinics I have been able to experience working within a large team and gaining team morale. I feel I am a very active team player and work well within the team dynamics. I gain a good rapport with all my patients and they frequently refer their friends and family members for me to treat.I have learned to work as an evidence-based practitioner and have developed an inquisitive mind when dealing with complex patients. My knowledge has expanded greatly with monthly IST and CPD courses.
