Sitting within the Destination Development unit at the South Australian Tourism Commission, my role is to deliver special projects which enable the tourism industry to create demand driving experiences. Such projects include developing sector plans, resources & tools, as well as ongoing stakeholder engagement. Key growth sector focus areas include Agritourism, Wine, Wellness, Inclusive & Accessible, and Sustainable tourism.I have previously worked closely with industry on tourism product/experience development across a number of regions, namely Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Clare Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and Limestone Coast. I was also heavily involved in delivering the Tourism Industry Development Fund and cruise ship visitation programs.Formerly, I managed the regional events funding program and was responsible for providing capability support to the SA events industry. I also played an integral role in developing bids to host major events in Adelaide, and also worked across various strategic side projects such as activating the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct. It is very rewarding for me to work with small businesses to help them maximise tourism opportunities. I have a passion for South Australia's stunning regions and have been fortunate enough to get out from behind my desk to explore almost every corner of them.
