Before I came into into roofing about 6 years ago, I worked in a care home where my roles varied, but did not offer the variety, independence or job satisfaction that I was looking for. My step-dad ran Templar Roofing and as I've always been a bit of a tomboy and I like working outside it was the perfect opportunity for a career move. After a while, having proved myself on the physical aspects of the job, I started my apprenticeship in Built-Up Felt Roofing with my colleague, Billy to gain a Level 2 qualifications. I have continued training and have all the usual Health and safety quals, including IPAF, PASMA, manufacturer training, and I am shortly to take the 5 day Site Managers Safety Training Scheme qualification. Martin has chosen to retire and he has generously decided that the business should stay in the family, and I am honoured to have been offered the opportunity along side Billy of running this established business.
