Working with GP's paper mills, I am focusing on chemical purchasing and distribution of limestone to help support steady flow of the pulp manufacturing processes. I work closely with KBX and suppliers to ensure consistent communication while looking for ways to make the overall process more efficient. I also invest time into PO reconciliation to ensure there are no discrepancies between purchases. This has broadened my experience within software such as SPARC, Ariba, M3, S4 and FileNet.

Working on the inventory and transactions team in CPG I learned new skills in excel, SAP, and KBX TOPS. I worked closely with our RDCs ensuring that systems ran smoothly. I also maintained a consistent flow of communication with brand managers when dealing with discontinued and damaged materials. During the 6 months I learned about different aspects of the business including careers in outsourcing, procurement, demand planning, and more.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work at Karvela's Pizza CO. One of the most noticeable factors about this restaurant is the overall relaxed and family orientated environment. While working there I was assigned with tasks such as answering the phone and taking online orders, getting up to an average of 50 per day on weekends. With the advancement of my communication skills I was able to work better to ensure the customers were happy with the service. Being able to train a few new employees was one of the overall highlights. Not only was I able to make more friends but it helped me to work on my leadership abilities. Working at Karvela's Pizza CO. was a wonderful experience and I am proud of the skills that I have gained from it.
