In this role, I build, design, and maintain websites using WordPress and the Elementor plugin. I implement basic HTML and CSS where needed to enhance the design and follow accessible design guidelines. I use my knowledge in SEO and study of user behavior to create the right page layout and site structure for each unique client.When needed, I jump into other 3rd party applications like Hubspot, Jotform, Google Analytics, and others to conduct user research, create other digital assets, or navigate a new program confidently with clients wishing to expand their tool kit.Connecting with my coworkers and building a close team is important to me. I have started a company book club, participated in holiday events, engaged in branding initiatives, social media, and provided ideas for building our business.

This internship gave me the opportunity to work on Search Engine Optimization projects. As a way to get retainers, we offered SEO following the launch of website developed for the client. Each month, the client would get a report that summarized their site's performance along with suggestions on how to improve it. This was a learning curve for me as I had no prior knowledge of SEO. I started with getting my Google Analytics Certification. After, I would set up the reports on Google Data Studio. My boss and I would then go over the data so that I could become more familiar with seeing important patterns. Along with SEO, I helped with banner and product image development for Amazon Store fronts/Amazon Premium A+ content for Michelin. Finally, I helped with content migration during website development. This was my first experience at a professional company that involved my graphic design background. My work was a mix of content management and editing for Amazon Storefronts, Web Collage Accounts, and Wordpress sites. I learned a number of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign techniques that I had not learned or gotten much practice with during class, like Perspective Warp and linking assets. I also worked on some social media posts for Beck with strategies for Twitter and Instagram.

During the summers of 2016 and 2017, I worked in customer service. This was my first job directly dealing with customers and I gained a lot of personal social skills through this. As a shy person, I had to step out of my comfort zone and answer phones, approach customers, and be confident in addressing questions. The store was a wonderful place to work with a welcoming culture. I consider this job pivotal in my growth as a professional who can take initiative and solve problems.
