I am currently in my third year of Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University. I currently work at the Royal Adelaide Hospital as a Diet Monitor where I play a crucial role in ensuring patients with complex diet codes and allergies receive adequate nutrition. This role involves working with dietitians and other health care professionals to support patients who have limited options or need catered diets during their admission. I am also responsible for a range of other tasks e.g implementing strict cardiac PET scan diets for Nuclear Medicine. l also am employed as a supervisor at Coles supermarkets where I have been for 3.5 years. I have experience volunteering at the Women’s and Children’s Health Network as a guide. I have also been involved in facilitating holiday programs with Nourish SA, a dietitian led company running nutrition workshops for primary school children. After graduating as a professional, I hope to work in clinical dietetics specialising in diabetes/endocrinology, malnutrition and diseases of the bowel.
