Creative, passionate, and hard-working is how I would describe myself when it comes to Interior Design. I have been lucky enough to pursue my dreams at Texas Christian University as an Interior Design Major with an Architectural Lighting Minor. The major has allowed me to push myself in my creativity and has given me the skills to bring my ideas to life. Through these classes, I have learned hand drafting along with design software such as Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Cloud. These skills have transferred over into my previous internships, they have not only prepared me but allowed me to thrive in the workplace environment. In the summer of 2022, I interned for CDC Designs where I worked with the design team on commercial model home projects. This was my first experience in the workplace and was eye-opening to see how a firm ran and how a design team worked with one another. I had the responsibility of working on client presentations and choosing materials and furniture. In the summer of 2023, I had the privilege to work in Newport Beach, CA at Laura Brophy Interiors. This opportunity was more hands-on as it was a smaller design team. I aided the design team in developing high-end residential homes within the Orange County area. Mainly I was responsible for Auto Cad elevations, floor planning, and Sketch Up renderings. I was fortunate to participate in installs where I got to meet clients and see the design process in action, which was very rewarding to see the design come to life.
