With over five years of diverse experience in the education sector, I have developed a strong foundation in student support, volunteer management, and administration. My journey began post-university as the Academic Representation Coordinator at Loughborough Students’ Union, where I led a volunteer programme, recruiting, training, and supporting around 500 students annually across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.I further honed my skills as the Placement Support Administrator at the University of Leicester's College of Social Sciences and Humanities. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating student placements, streamlining processes, and enhancing the efficiency of placement modules within the curriculum. My passion for working with young people extended beyond the UK when I spent a summer in the United States as a lead unit counsellor at a Girl Scout summer camp. There, I planned and delivered creative outdoor activities for children aged 6-18. Upon returning to the UK, I took on various freelance roles, including pet care and childcare, while seeking full-time opportunities. As an Examinations Officer at Loughborough College, I was responsible for overseeing the entire exam process, from managing schedules to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role demanded strong organisational skills and attention to detail, allowing me to support the smooth operation of assessment procedures for hundreds of students. Now, as the incoming Programme Administrator for the School of Education at the University of Leicester, I look forward to applying my experience in administration and student support to enhance the postgraduate experience. My aim is to streamline processes, provide personalised support, and contribute to an environment that fosters academic excellence.
