I develop, construct, and test an air-Cherenkov telescope to be used in association with IceCube Neutrino Observatory. This telescope will detect UV light rays in the South Pole that are a result of high-energy particle interactions which can then help to classify astrophysical neutrino events. I collaborate with other students to optimize its detection efficiency by improving the electronic circuitry design, increasing field of view with Winston Cones, and filtering out light pollution. I presented the project results at a local conference in Fall 2018.

I employed the MS Office Suite to develop an extensive organizational system that tracks supplemental instructor leaders’ tutoring sessions. I methodically file hundreds of papers per week which allows for others to find items easily. As the front desk attendant, I maintain excellent customer service while my knowledge of the office allows me to direct visitors efficiently as to prevent a decrease in office productivity.

I led weekly study sessions for Basic Astronomy as a supplemental instructor leader that has previously succeeded in this historically challenging course. I put together creative and practical lesson plans that helped students prepare for quizzes and exams. These sessions led to a 75% reduction in fail rates for the course.
