About Chloe Ramsay
I have always been curious and passionate about the natural world. This drive led me to pursue a PhD in Biological Sciences where I studied community and disease ecology in the amphibian host system. I currently work in Fisheries Dependent Monitoring at Florida Fish and Wildlife's research institute. I have enjoyed getting to know the fishery management process and survey design. I am passionate about transparency in the data collection and management process so that participants in the fishery know how the data we collect from them is being used. In the past I have worked in land and vegetation management positions at Glen Helen Nature Preserve and with the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). I pursued and enjoyed these positions because they allowed me to get my hands dirty, get outdoors, and make a tangible positive impact on the environment.
