To support the implementation of an ERP system throughout the UK Group by assisting on a particular site during the go live period and also coordinating a group of sites in the run up to the go live period. I provide regular… Show more To support the implementation of an ERP system throughout the UK Group by assisting on a particular site during the go live period and also coordinating a group of sites in the run up to the go live period. The role is focused around change management and business transformation through working with people during temporary timeframes in order to successfully roll out the IT system resulting in both user acceptance and more efficient ways of working across the organisation. I provide regular status and risk updates to the implementation managers whilst also sticking to a rigid plan and tight deadlines. Once sites have gone live, I also provide after care support and benefits realisation activities by re-visiting the sites and taking the relevant individuals through a series of reports to highlight how they are currently utilising the system. I also completed various courses on management that offered guidance on directing others, monitoring and improving performance and how to optimise performance. Show less

This role sat within the University campus retail shop and involved various cash handling and customer service activities. I used my initiative to solve problems occurring throughout the shift, whilst understanding and providing alternatives to customer queries and needs and providing additional support to staff that may be unsure of how the system works. This role sat within the Student Advice Centre which carried out a range of tasks such as booking appointments, acting as an information point, taking payments and postage services. I also played a role in creating notice boards for certain events that were happening around the campus, was responsible and accountable for handling important documents. Overall, this role was very multifaceted and allowed me to build on my customer facing skills in a non-retail environment.

Here I developed working relationships within a professional environment that allowed me to understand each role within the company. I further enhanced my research skills to a critical level which gave me the opportunity to scrutinise and offer alternatives to certain work. I composed reports and discussed my findings in meetings which allowed me to gain more confidence when putting forward abstract ideas.
