Career Development Award based at the Health and Social Care Workforce Research Unit (HSCWRU) at King's College London. Formalising and enhancing qualitative and quantitative research skills.

- Public affairs and influencing, including development of a strategy and plan, position statements, liaising with Number 10, and briefing / meeting with MPs and Peers.- Consultation responses, plus representations to HM Treasury and evidence submissions to Select Committees.- Policy briefings for the ADASS network, including on the care cap, social value and co-production.

- Lead for hospital discharge policy analysis, development and implementation (responding to the Covid-19 pandemic, while working to secure reform). Working with the Department for Health and Social Care, NHS England / Improvement and the Local Government Association, including on the drafting of relevant amendments to legislation.

Exploring how Buurtzorg interfaces with third sector organisations and groups in the Netherlands and Sweden, and considering the implications for UK social prescribing. My aim is to support informed and collaborative conversations about person-centred care, including the Buurtzorg model, across the sectors.Buurtzorg has gained prominence within health and care communities around the world. Various agencies have been exploring how the Buurtzorg models of organisation and care might be implemented in the UK, including in relation to social prescribing. However, one perspective is rarely heard from - those within the third sector who partner with Buurtzorg services, clients and staff and who are essential to its success.

- Inaugural lead for Red Cross health and social care policy and advocacy campaigns.- Delivered programmes across policy influencing, communications, practice development, and evidence growth and dissemination.- Established and led the ‘Prevention in Action’ campaign in England, which successfully secured amendments to legislation to clarify and enhance entitlements to preventative care, then supported local leaders to implement their new duties.- Established and led the ‘Putting the Wheels in Motion’ campaign, which made the case for health authorities across the UK nations to provide wheelchairs to people who need them for six-months or less. There is now a statutory duty in Scotland. Progress continues to be made in the other nations.

- Developed and implemented a UK-wide Outcomes Framework for Red Cross health and care services.

- Undertook literature reviews and qualitative research.- Managed, researched and lead-authored 'End of Life Care in Extra Care Housing: Learning Resource Pack for housing, care and support staff' for the NHS End of Life Care Programme.- Honorary Research Associate at UCL’s Crucible Centre for Lifelong Health and Wellbeing.

- Volunteer teacher for ten children aged five to 14 with moderate and severe disabilities and special educational needs. - Designed and built the school’s first website.- Fundraised £5,000 by hosting a series of quiz nights.

- Member of small team leading the implementation of ‘Putting People First’ (later ‘Think Local Act Personal’). Lead for prevention, information, advice and universal services.- Policy analysis and advice to senior leaders, commissioners and operational teams. - Co-author of Wandsworth's first Carers' and Young Carers' Strategy, plus corresponding commissioning plan. - Lead for a number of statutory returns to CSCI/CQC and HSCIC/NHS Digital.
