IWaG is a Not-for-profit organisation with a mission to re-home rescue Greyhounds and educate the public on the true nature of the Greyhound. My role as a member of IWaG is to source and research venues for fundraising events that are aligned with IWaG's core values and organisational strategy. This role involves the coordination of all event logistics such as organising volunteers and Greyhounds, merchandise, required equipment, and ensuring all legal paperwork is completed well before the event date. In addition to this, I manage the social media marketing of such events, along with advertising newly rescued Greyhounds that are available for foster and adoption.

Open Minds is also a registered NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provider, with more than 500 employees spread across 35 locations.

As a temporary human resources employee I was expected to reconcile client invoices against candidate time sheets, conduct candidate reference checks via telephone screening, complete various administration that included entering client data into a cloud based system using recruitment software FastTrack.

My role within the Strategy & Engagement team is to help with the implementation of new projects surrounding various functions of human resources, with a focus on diversity & inclusion.

During my time working for P+Y Accountants, I gained extensive skills that included but are not limited to: completing BAS, collation of tax returns and financial reports, quickbooks data entry, lodgement of tax return and BAS, liaising with clients and setting up meetings, preparation of notice of assessment correspondence, writing professional emails, petty cash handling and daily banking.
