I am motivated by a desire to make mental healthcare an accessible and integral part of our healthcare system starting in childhood and continuing through adulthood. I recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Non-profit Administration at the University of Oregon, with the goal of earning a PsyD and becoming a child and adolescent therapist.I have gained hands-on experience through my internship at Ophelia's Place where I worked with female-identified youth aged 10-18, providing prevention-based interactions, managing conflicts, and leading empowerment groups on various topics. I have also worked as a research assistant in a study that aims to find effective methods to support parents with a history of substance use disorders with their children's healthy development. I have also developed my skills in interpersonal communication and grant writing as a development intern at ShelterCare, a non-profit organization that supports unhoused people with behavioral health interventions and housing resources. Through these experiences, I have utilized excellent communication skills and developed an ability to work with diverse and vulnerable populations. I am looking for opportunities with an emphasis on supporting youth and parents in order to further develop my professional skills and prepare for graduate school.
