This role allowed me to work alongside mothers, who were undergoing private and/or group therapy sessions, and their children. Friends of the family is a safe place for families to come and spend time together twice a week. Whilst the mothers can talk to specialists, the children can play. Our job was to observe the children’s behaviour whilst guiding them in interactive play.

I took on this job in a cafe as part time work whilst completing my GCSE’s. I worked multiple roles such as waitress, barista and food prep.

I took on this voluntary role in a nursery, working alongside children aged from newborn to preschool. I specifically worked with 3 year olds, both in groups and one on one.
