•Used a microfluidics device along automatic pumps to create micro-gels to be placed into a scaffold for wound regeneration.•Investigated strategies to optimize the size and placement of micro-gels in mono-dispersed versus poly-dispersed formations. •Imaged scaffolds with the Nikon T microscope to visualize how particles interact with the scaffold.

•Optimized a T-cell killing assay by experimenting with varying concentrations of T-cells, target cells, and Version 1 or 2 of T-cell dependent antibodies.• Ran experiments to image assays with activated T-cells in a Nikon T microscope.•Analyzed results and presented the microscope that should be used to determine which Version had more efficacy.

•Designed a benchtop model to study the potential of different concentrations of ethyl cellulose-ethanol (ECE) as an embolic agent for solid tumor treatment.•Performed cell culture work to experimentally determine the percent of live and dead cells that result from different concentrations of ethanol.
