As one of three Assistant Directors in the International Student Center, I advised more than 300 international students from the time they were admitted to Seattle University until after they completed their OPT (Optimum Practical Training) or STEM OPT (up to three years post-graduation). In my advising role, I ensured that students maintained status with their F-1 visa, I helped them apply for OPT and CPT (Curricular Practical Training), and I helped them regain status if they lost it. I advocated for students who felt marginalized or ignored on campus, and I provided a safe space for students to come with all problems. For students who needed help transferring in or out, getting travel signatures, reducing their course load or changing their graduation date, obtaining visas for their parents to attend their graduation, or any other request, I typically fulfilled their request within 24 (business) hours.I was also involved in International Student Center programming, helping to plan events on- and off-campus from smaller events such to the yearly International Dinner which brings in approximately 350 campus members. In addition, I helped to design and make edits to the ISC website, supervised 6 student employees at a time, and managed the weekly newsletter.

My internship consisted of student advising on education abroad programs, developing career and identity-based resources for study abroad-bound students, reviewing applications, hosting a career workshop for study abroad students, and developing inclusive and welcoming practices for incoming exchange students.

I supervised 30-35 student employees in IT Services. I interviewed, on-boarded, hired, and trained our student employees for the IT department. I set up and managed their schedules, helped them navigate the professional environment, and provided opportunities for skill building and leadership through trainings, shadowing, and additional responsibilities. Mentorships and specialized projects were set up for those who wanted them. Through monthly conversations, resume review, interview practice, and LinkedIn updates, I helped guide professional development for students nearing graduation. I tracked daily and weekly metrics for numbers of calls and tickets that came into the Service Desk. In addition to my day-to-day tasks, I improved processes for escalating customer concerns, for looking up answers for customers, and for ensuring enough phone coverage by the Service Desk team.

I assisted ESL students one-on-one and in groups to practice speaking, writing, and listening to English. Additionally, I helped run the drop-in sessions for troubleshooting technology questions.

My focus was the Four Seasons brand, where I curated each guest's journey to be the perfect vacation for their interests and activity levels. On the journeys that I managed, in addition to the responsibilities of a Guest Services Manager, I created personalized activities for the guests by working with each property on the itinerary to arrange spa treatments, private guides, golf, diving, and sometimes different destinations altogether. In addition, I provided insight and training on the Four Seasons brand to my colleagues as the brand ambassador for the Guest Services Team.

As a Guest Services Manager for TCS World Travel, I managed several trips at a time across all of our product lines, preparing each guest for their trip of a lifetime, sometimes for 18 months prior to the trip. I communicated with guests and staff daily via phone, sent the details of their upcoming journeys by email and mail, managed guest dietary and sightseeing preferences, ensured visas are obtained for each necessary country, address medical concerns, and discussed the ins and outs of each day, each destination, each hotel, and the level of activity for the trip, to ensure a seamless experience prior to departure and during their expedition around the world. This role provided me with experience in SalesForce, our customer relations management tool, as well as experience taking sales calls for our private jet trips across all brands within the company. It allowed me to problem-solve, delegate tasks effectively, and expand my geographical and cultural knowledge of countries around the world.

During my role as a Guest Services Coordinator, I managed three National Geographic Private Jet expeditions at a time with up to 75 guests on each itinerary. By communicating daily with guests and ensuring they are well-informed, prepared, and excited about their trips, I ensured they have an incredible time on their 24-day journey around the world.

I started as an Assistant for the Select Escapes Team, where I managed the guest information, payments, and new bookings for the luxurious Four Seasons and Select Products.

My three-year term as an Alumni Board member for the College Success Foundation provided me with the opportunity to create a higher level of engagement among alumni of all CSF programs, as well as a sense of community and support between current CSF students and alumni. I raised over $6,500 for our annual fundraising luncheon and Give Back campaign; obtained several donations from the community for our events; and planned workshops and networking functions to expand the resources of our alumni.

As a member of SU Bridge, I worked with the team to create events and methods to connect with recent graduates of Seattle University in order to help them in their transition from college into the professional world. We created three networking events and business workshops for the upcoming year which had a higher attendance than the previous year's events.

As an Administrative and Marketing Assistant, I organized events by reserving spaces and setting up catering; advertising through social media and printed materials; and outreaching to the local community and catholic schools and parishes in the greater Seattle region.

My internship with Ayni Education International, now called Sahar Education International, exposed me to the extreme poverty and lack of equal education for children, girls especially, in Afghanistan. I wrote and edited grants to bring more money to the cause, analyzed statistical data of schools, prepared for meetings with organizations that could provide funding, and recruited future interns, the backbone of the organization.

Working with a diverse group of students who had a variety of learning disabilities, greeting students and teachers with a warm smile as they came to the office, delivering completed exams to professors, and performing secretarial and administrative duties such as answering the phone and filing confidential records were part of my duties at Disabilities Services and the Office of Fellowships at Seattle University.

At the College Success Foundation, I did a variety of tasks to assist the non-profit for 5 weeks. I called scholars to inform them of changes to events; I learned how to budget different parts of the organization; I sorted inventory for future events, and I worked with the marketing department to create materials.

For five weeks, I researched information, created, and designed roommate packets for domestic and international students. Additionally, I created the orientation packet for the International Student Orientation at Gonzaga University.

I worked to make the environment more comfortable for the families of children with life-threatening illnesses through secretarial and cleaning duties. I also assisted the Program Manager with fundraising projects.

I developed English language skills in students at the Community College learning English as a second language from all over the world.
