Worked within a wider comms team supporting local campaigns, maintaining strong relations with local media as well as helping to develop the council's commercial agenda. Daily tasks included writing press releases, creating content for the authorities Facebook and Twitter channels, dealing with media enquiries and delivering campaigns under tight budgets. As part of a secondment role, I was tasked with raising the profile of the council's commercial offering. I produced online content for the services on offer, helping to position the council's commercial brand and developed cost effective online methods for quotations, requests for work and ensured back-of-house processes were streamlined.
