I am in the final year of my EPSRC-funded PhD, researching how evolutionary multi-agent systems are affected by the interference and unintended interactions that arise from pursuing individual goals in a shared environment. My research explores how agents with no knowledge of others around them evolve to achieve their goals, and how evolutionary volatility can be reduced using methods inspired by neuroscience, biology, sociology and psychology.
