As a conscientious student and dedicated employee, I strive to further both my own ambitions, and those of any organisations I become involved with. As a consistent high achiever on the academic spectrum, I seek to apply my acquired skill and knowledge in practical situations. Having developed interest in therapeutics and quality use of medicines, I am currently studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy at Griffith University, Gold Coast. I am currently in my last year and due to graduate in December 2020.Through my past and present employment and volunteering experiences, I have learnt valuables skills that can be transferred into future positions, such as teamwork. My current part time employment position with Chemist Warehouse has given me valuable experience working in pharmacy, and a familiarity with assisting customers. My past role as a team supervisor at Reboundland has allowed me to appreciate the importance of working in a team environment. My ability to both work alongside staff and lead them through the daily duties saw my promotion to the management team. My employment has also enabled me to gain crucial problem solving abilities. I have become competent in efficiently resolving situations that arise, often concerning safety or customer welfare, during my time as supervisor. As evidence to my work ethic and skillset, I have been recognised as Employee member of the month at both McDonalds (June 2015) and Reboundland (September 2017). Furthermore, my volunteer work as an international mentor has taught me the vital skill of communication. Learning to overcome language and age barriers has allowed to be refine my methods of clearly expressing a message and also understanding messages from others and reacting appropriately. I hope to pursue a career in clinical pharmacy and continue to support the health care needs of the wider community.
