As an administration assistant my day to day duties would include supply ordering, inputting data, filtering customer queries to the relevant departments, contacting ‘Courtesy Call’ customers, building customer relations, resolving customer complaints, taking and transferring phone calls, running data reports and monthly reports, setting up new customers and transferring supplies from closing customers, ensuring the distribution packs were correct and finding and removing any errors to these packs. Whilst at Smiths News I became the team leader's second in line. While she was away my duties would also include the responsibility of the attendance sheet and holiday chart, responsibility of important data files, resolving all queries that go directly to the team leader, logging queries, organising and delegating work and dealing with difficult customers.Adminstration was also given the task of marketing the Sun and Times Compact newspapers. This meant analysing customer’s sales and allocating supplies based on the findings, also taking into consideration any patterns, promotions and public holidays that could affect regular sales.During my time here I was awarded a Trusted Service Award which was nominated to me by 3 senior members of staff and 1 colleague.
