Build annual department Calendar, and partner with Cross Functional Team to ensure deadlines are met. Oversee all new Vendor on boarding and daily email communication. Manage style allocation and sourcing of raw materials to appropriate vendors and mills. Procure, review and assess new cost quotes, analyze history and elevate costing challenges to supervisor for negotiations. Collaborate with AEO Merchandising/Design on garment cost, buys, production planning, liabilities and delivery. Negotiate TNA with Vendors by style and ensure all deliveries are met. Manage all style overages, shortages, and discrepancies. Lead touch base meetings with the following teams: Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Design, Tech, QA, Testing and Transportation. Manage all aspects of sampling and tracking.

Provide costing alternatives using AUC targets and material guidelines to advise design on developing the best cost-effective product. Minimize and bring resolution to financial liabilities by presenting recommendations to supervisor and cross-functional partners. Understand design’s aesthetic requirements and collaborate with GIS and Product Integrity to ensure sample development meets the Brand goals for quality and aesthetic while meeting AUC targets. Order all sample fabric, trims, and styles for key milestone meetings by calendar deadlines. Monitor on-time delivery of samples for milestone meetings and report style level status and specifics to cross-functional teams. Communicate fabric, style, sb and bas bookings and order confirmation with GIS. Communicate with Global Merchandising and Inventory Management to solve production execution issues including late or short shipments. Work with supervisor, Global Design and Global Merchandising on aesthetic execution, product integrity and safety issues.

Favorably negotiate all post-placement costing to hit margin goals. Insure that all systems are maintained with costing, vendor information, and deliveries using new PDM software. Issue and maintain all PO’s in SAP. Work with Logistics to properly classify HTS codes and duties for all styles. Preparation of QC files for each style per season to be sent to HK office and factories. Manage calendar to achieve on time placement dates for product fulfillment and financial plans. Manage all production variances with merchandising and design including any rework needs. Review and communicate style and material minimums, material costs and lead times with design, production and merchandising. Negotiate advantageous terms. Creation of all care label wash instructions and symbols based on fabric ID specs. Approve all Care Labels and Hang Tags. Translate all care labels into French including revision of French Master key Index. Entering all Fabric ID specs into margin tool to assist Fabric/Trim team. Revise Margin Tool with Supervisors to ensure effective communication.

Direct weekly production by factory meetings with tech team, director of technical design, and occasionally VP of Production. Update and maintain weekly production by factory charts for knits, sweaters, and wovens using Enovia system. Track, log, and hand off all fit, ref, and top samples. Communicate seasonally with agents and logistics regarding HTS codes. Approval for bulk of all hang tags and care labels. Revise PO’s and approve delivery extensions. Code and approve debit notes. Train new peers in: all work software, issuing and updating purchase orders, and approval processes. Attend the production line review meetings. Organize confirmed cost sheets for knits, sweaters and wovens. In constant communication with tech, design, merch, and overseas agents.
