- Drive the growth and performance of the volunteer program in the U.S. by managing the development and implementation of Mercy For Animals’ volunteer training and infrastructure. - Actively engage in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new volunteer leaders, and empower them to build a thriving volunteer presence in their local communities. - Regularly engage with volunteers and provide the support and resources necessary to successfully carry out Mercy For Animals’ advocacy programs. - Manage mass communication systems used to communicate with volunteers, including any email listservs, internal Facebook pages, and contact lists. - Oversee and manage event needs, including logistics, volunteer coordination, and event follow-up and assessment to ensure successful execution of all outreach events.- Work closely with the volunteer manager and other Mercy For Animals staff to ensure the organization’s efforts are synergistically coordinated and assist other departments with volunteer recruitment, placement, and engagement. - Liaise with other vegan advocacy groups to coordinate volunteers for mutually beneficial events and to learn and share ideas and best practices with the assistance of the volunteer manager

Youth and Families Programming2018 Northwest Folklife Festival - Discovery Zone Our Big Neighborhood Event• Oversaw Discovery Zone operations and programming during 4 day Northwest Folklife Festival, 200,000 guests in attendance at Seattle Center. Worked with the programming staff on Northwest Folklife’s youth and family programs, which included scheduling artists and hands-on activities for the Discovery Zone at the annual Northwest Folklife Festival• Engaged with volunteers and representatives of different ethnic, regional and occupational communities from the Pacific Northwest via email, the telephone and/or face to face.• Assisted with research and outreach for new communities, organizations, and artists to participate in Northwest Folklife programs.• Completed tasks such as data entry, initiating and following up on correspondence, coordinating logistics for hands on activities, scheduling performers, and contract development.• Wrote short copy for the festival program guide, blogs, and additional Festival publicity• Assisted in compiling submitted stage diagrams from performers for the Festival’s Stage Books
