I am a student at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. I am studying Information Systems. I have always enjoyed working and have held a bunch of different positions throughout my college experience. I had my first major internship with the University of Utah School of Law, I was a part of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office. Through this, I learned more about policymaking and analyzing data as it pertains to outcomes. I also had an internship with the Talbot Group, a company developing Barkley Village in Bellingham Washington. This internship taught me about customer relations and dealing with community members with grace. Being able to problem solve with many types of people as well as communicate in a direct but healthy way to find the problem that needs solving is an invaluable skill that I hope to bring with me in my next project.I am from a small town in Washington called Anacortes located on an island in the San Juans. It was a unique place to grow up but I think I have gained a unique perspective that has aided me in the long run. I am very passionate about the organization Young Life which I have spent a lot of time volunteering with. I have spent a lot of time dreaming about living in different places, which has led me to go to school out of state and move towards studying abroad in the fall. As much as I am nervous about this time spent away from internships I know the experience I bring back will far outweigh the cons.
