I am a 2020 graduate of the University of Vermont with a bachelor of science in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Spanish. I later pursed my Master of Science in Education in School Counseling from Hunter College in New York City and graduated in May 2024. ​I have experience in elementary, middle, and high school settings. As an undergraduate intern at the Integrated Arts Elementary Academy in Burlington, I gained insight into school counselors' roles and practices, such as push-in lessons, group sessions, and administrative duties. Working closely with the school counselor, I supported students experiencing behavioral distress and guided them toward self-regulation. As a graduate practicum student and later a full-time intern at The Computer School, I supported middle school students alongside the school counselor and social worker. This experience included regular check-ins with mandated and at-risk students and facilitating small group counseling sessions on social skills development. As a graduate intern at Beacon High School's college counseling office, I have gained experience guiding eleventh and twelfth-grade students through career and college exploration. Collaborating closely with college counselors, I provided group and one-on-one sessions, answering questions and support in creating college lists and essays to assist students and families.I am currently looking for a placement that will challenge my development as a counselor, as well support my growth, along with my future students!
