I am a motivated student pursuing a degree in marine biology. I have an interest in sharks, marine conservation, coral reefs, & invertebrates. I have volunteered with the Department of Natural Resources helping to build oyster reefs & will be helping with horseshoe crab surveys with the conservation department at my job at the South Carolina Aquarium. I have an upcoming shark research course at the Ocean First Institute in Key Largo as well as a study abroad trip with a professor at my school studying the biology of invertebrates. I am always looking for new experiences to gain knowledge in the field. I am very excited to keep learning more as I get closer to graduation next year & looking forward to step into the workforce! I am hardworking & willing to put in the work to move up the ladder because I am truly passionate about this career field.
