I have been in a managerial role since September 2018, currently Assistant Restaurant Manager. Responsibilities in running this ecommerce business included the management and development of an ecommerce site to ensure increased brand awareness and site traffic, as well as the growth of the turnover of Love Letters by 30% over two years. Site traffic increased by 100% during the first year with up to 6,000 visitors to the site per month. I participated in the LEO Accelerate programme, to help grow the business. I had two employees, and during my time running Love Letters, we won three industry awards for our website, and our stationery. In February 2016, I sold the ecommerce site to Prontaprint, Dublin.
Development Manager
Working closely with the Festival Council and the Artistic Director/Chief Executive, I was responsible for the design and implementation of strategies that drive income generation including commercial sponsorship, philanthropic giving and Government agency funding. My team was also responsible for coordinating the programme launch for the Festival, the opening and closing nights, as well as running the Festival club and coordinating all artist and staff events during the 18 day Festival.Dublin Theatre Festival won the Allianz Business to Arts Award for Best Long Term Partnership with DAA in 2013, for it's collaborative work on the activation of the sponsorship and it's marketing campaign around The Corn Exchange production of James Joyce's Dubliners in the 2012 Festival.

Key responsibilities in this role were prospect identification, selling partnerships to new and existing partners, managing the life cycle of these partnerships, ensuring all revenue was received on target, as well as ongoing progress reports to the Festival CEO and the preparation of a post festival report for the Kilkenny Arts Festival board of directors.

I worked on the internal support team for the telephone system for UCD, the largest exchange in Ireland. I researched and worked as part of a team to implement a voice activated telephone system throughout the campus. Our team also provided IT technical support for the Services Department on campus. This was a very customer focussed role, supporting and managing over 6,000 telephone extensions throughout the campus, as well as providing all the IT support within the Services department.
Development Volunteer
I spent 9 weeks in Uganda in 2002 with ActionAid Uganda. I provided IT support and web development in the head office, Kampala. I travelled throughout Uganda, visiting area offices and community based organisations (CBO), as well as attending workshops. I assisted and researched in the development and publishing of a brochure for the hand over of an educational CBO from ActionAid to the local community, documenting the project and the handover process.

As a part time volunteer with Amnesty International Irish Office, I helped coordinate the Annual Conference and provided web and IT support internally. It was very fulfilling, working as part of such a passionate team.
Senior Programmer
I managed and developed the redesign of an IT system for a Medical Company. Key relationship management skills were involved, as close collaboration was required to determine the needs of the user and the requirements for the system. I met with the clients regularly at key points in the development of the programme to ensure their needs were being met at all times. The project concluded with a working system, that I believe a version of is still in use today.
