Assisting chalet hosts to maintain high standards within chalets by using my own experiences to offer support, guidance and training. Carrying out weekly reports/professional development reports. Delivering an exceptional level of service to customers, listening to concerns and answering questions. Coordinating with the Resort Manager to ensure the effective implementation of good customer service.

I am responsible for other members of staff, answering queries, maintaining a high level of knowledge about the products on sale and the business. I am also required to have a very high standard of customer service expertise. I am responsible for opening and closing the bar including the responsibility of holding keys, managing stock levels, creating rotas, cashing up and banking, dealing with customer complaints and serving drinks and food quickly and efficiently whilst being part of a team as well as having the ability to work independently. I am required to put forward ideas for promotional offers, staff incentives and drink menus including brands of spirits and cocktail menus. I am also given the responsibility of regularly posting to social media to the general public and hosting events such as gin tasting events from five to 20 people.

Les Arcs, France

As a chalet host I catered for 12-14 guests per week and was responsible for serving breakfast, afternoon tea and three course meals. I was relied upon to make guests feel welcome throughout their holiday. This role was very customer service based and it was extremely important for me to be able to interact with a wide range of people using my communication skills. I was responsible for ordering and cooking food, ordering and changing linen, making sure that customers were satisfied, making recommendations and cleaning the chalet.

My main duties and responsibilities within Federal Mogul included working quickly and methodically on the production line under minimum supervision to produce quality friction products whilst having a high level of health and safety awareness. I was STOP (safety training observation programme) trained to ensure safe behaviour and workplace conditions; I also received 5S trained to ensure efficiency within the workplace. I was responsible for cleaning and maintaining machinery and was entrusted with helping to train new operatives on certain machinery within the low volume section.

Newquay

I have worked at Ocean Lodge for two summers (2016 & 2018) and within this time have progressed throughout the company. This was due to being able to build rapport with those around me and the ability and eagerness to learn quickly. I have learned many different skills relating to bartending and have a very high level of customer service and the ability to make a range of cocktails. I am able to serve drinks, set up and clean down a bar and keep the bar tidy and clean throughout the shift. As assistant manager, I was responsible for opening/closing the lodge, which was a bed and breakfast and public bar. This meant I was responsible for setting the till up and cashing up at the end of shifts, as well as taking large payments for the cost of the rooms. I was relied upon to work independently and was able to work efficiently to ensure all customers were served at busy times. I was also entrusted on training up new members of staff to ensure that the reputation of the business was upheld to it’s high standard.I was also responsible for checking hotel guests in and out, changing rooms, taking bookings and payments both in person and over the phone, emailing customers and ordering stock. Furthermore, I was able to advise customers about surf hire and adventurous activities around Newquay. The job role depended on my excellent customer service skills due to the amount of business generated through good recommendations and reviews of the lodge and the diversity of the customers travelling from all over the world. it was crucial for me to have highly effective communication skills to confirm bookings professionally and efficiently.

Buxton

As a lifeguard I was required to have a high level of communication between other members of staff, superiors and the members of the public. I showed that I was able to think quickly, stay calm in emergency situations, follow emergency procedures and ensure the safety of not only customers in immediate danger, but also those in the surrounding area. It was important to intervene in situations that may have become hazardous in order to reduce the risk of injury to customers and staff. I was able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team where members were constantly changing due to changes in shifts/staff.

Buxton

In my part time role as sales assistant, I proved myself as a punctual and hard working member of staff, capable of taking payment, handling calls and cashing up along with advising and serving customers whilst taking a friendly and helpful approach. I was able to handle complaints efficiently, manage stock and recalls and had the ability to work unsupervised. I was also trusted in helping to train new members of staff in aspects such as online orders and returns.
