At the beginning of Februari, I started as a research intern at CNCR (Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research). For my graduate internship, I will investigate whether strong candidate genes for alcohol consumption and misuse are associated with candidate genes responsible for the development of DSM-IV psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. In particular, my research will focus on (possible) overlap between alcohol and anxiety, depression, ptsd, and tobacco use.
