I am a solicitor-advocate (with higher rights of audience). My skills in advocacy mean that I often undertake the court advocacy at both financial remedy and Children Act proceedings. I have a large case load of financial remedy and private law children work. My specialist expertise is in Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Order (REMO) cases. I actively promote alternative dispute resolution to my clients and have concluded cases via arbitration and at roundtable meetings. The pre-nup had a specific validity clause linked to who petitioned. The husband was worth £130m and there were cross-petitions.• Analysed bank statements for Counsel in Chai v Peng. • Liaised directly with client on £1.5m international AR matter. Instructed an expert who applied a 90% discount to a French rental property due to it being occupied by an OAP.• Dealt with an initial enquiry and arranged meeting with a client who had net assets of £3 billion. • Prepared Form E, a £500k+ budget as well as first draft of Questionnaire and Replies on a case expected to be valued at £15m. Further prepared Part 25 application for the parties’ London based PR company. • Briefed and attended conference with Simon Calhaem on a variation matter involving a HNW investment banker looking to vary down his joint lives order (which required him to pay 24% of all bonuses to his ex-wife). • Drafted a MPS application and budget on a case that was subject to a jurisdiction battle (Germany), where we were seeking an interim budget of £30,000 per month plus legal fees. • Currently preparing a Form E in a High Court case where the assets exceed £20m.• Prepared weekly funding reports for directors and built strong relationships with litigation loan lenders. • Presented talks in front of the entire firm on the Cohabitation Private Members Bill, WA v Executors of HA & Others and the impact of Brexit on family law (pre-Brexit).• Over 20 articles / blogs published on the firm’s website.

Offered a Training Contract within 5 months of joining the firm. Personally worked for a director and assisted him in all aspects of his cases (including Quan v Bray), from preparing jurisdiction research notes to attending a final hearing (only paralegal to do so).

Group leader in a model law commission project for A-level students. Aided students in preparing and presenting ideas for a cohabitation rights bill. Included a brainstorming event with family law barristers at the Supreme Court and ultimately presented to Mrs Justice Asplin at Potcullis House.

Managed numerous private complaints involving high profile and high net worth individuals against Independent Financial Advisers who advised them to invest in unregulated film schemes for tax purposes. A pro-bono role enabling me to advise and represent clients in Employment Tribunal matters.Recently worked on an unfair dismissal case that required me to conduct conferences with the client, draft a schedule of loss and ET1 and ultimately persuade the client to withdraw their case.

In this role I was responsible for delivering the AS Level and International Baccalaureate syllabuses to Lower Sixth Form pupils. I taught modules in Biological Psychology, Social Psychology, Autism and Abnormal Psychology; conducted a Parents’ Reception; prepared pupils for Public Examinations; acted as a tutor in a girls’ boarding-house; and coached junior sport.

Prepared necessary documents for non-molestation order applications; conducted telephone interviews, prepared affidavits & issued them to the court. Completed six cases.

Responsible for the welfare and fair treatment of detained young or vulnerable persons throughout their custody stay. Attended over twenty times.
