As Academic Officer, I am responsible for assisting law students with any academic related matters. The role requires collaboration with faculty to address student concerns and organising academic initiatives to provide a platform for law students to learn essential skills. Importantly, Academic Officer organises the RAC appeals process for law students and provides support to class representatives.

As Chairperson of Vegilicious, I am responsible for the day-to-day managing of the plant-based society on campus. I ensure all members are aware of and perform their duties, organise meetings, timelines, contact sponsors, manage the flow of events. I also act as the social media manager simultaneously.

As a mentor in the Law faculty, my role is to guide my assigned first years through the adjustment of studying such a strenuous degree. I offer personal and academic advice, aiming to aid my mentees in becoming confident and self-sufficient within the faculty.

As the elected class representative for all Prelim A and B Law courses, I am responsible for representing close to 300 students, liaising with lecturers, sending announcements and assisting students with course content as well as giving guidelines and advice regarding academic processes in the Law faculty.

Vegilicious is a student led UCT society that aims to educate students on the benefits of plant-based living by organising events surrounding vegan food tasting and anti-animal cruelty awareness. As the Marketing and Social Media manager, my duty was to design posters and media to be shared on all social media platforms regarding events and educational drives. I also took on the responsibility to disseminate announcements as the Secretary General was unable to figure out how to use our platform, Amathuba.

The role of a Notetaker with the Disability Services at UCT is to attend classes and take down the spoken lecture content as closely as possible, in succinct and accurate ways in order to assist disabled students at the university with learning.
