Led cross functional (eng, product, UX, data science) team developing smart home platform to shift flexible energy use in the home to respond to dynamic electricity pricing. Worked closely with utility and OEM partners.

Redirected team from real estate and infrastructure to software product business, successfully aligning with new corporate focus.Led the conception and development of Affordable Electrification, a smart home product for utilities to keep residential customer energy costs low and predictable throughout our transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. Commissioned, contracted and executed year-long pilot with 100 customers of local utility in London, Ontario to test product viability.

Responsible for design, development and financing of next gen power grid, fossil-fuel free thermal loop, waste transportation system, and stormwater green infrastructure for proposed Toronto project. Project was cancelled after Schematic Design.Secured partners, stakeholders, over $1MM in public funding and project manager/lead to build prototype of building performance platform that uses hourly data - the evolution of EnergyStar and NYC Local Law 97. Surrogate board member for Stephen M. Ross, WRI’s largest private donor and co-founder of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. Also served on WRI Energy and WRI Ross Center Advisory committees.

Led all green development, residential building operations and environmental stakeholder management for Related’s multi-billion dollar mixed-use real estate portfolio. Projects included ~30 LEED Silver, Gold and Platinum affordable and luxury multifamily, office, retail, and hotel buildings.Spearheaded development of $135MM + microgrid and thermal loop anchored by 14.5MW of cogen to serve 6.2MSF of new commercial, residential and retail space in New York City. Represented project through every stage of development from conception through design, financing, utility rates and approvals, regulatory, local and state support, and tenant off-take agreements/ energy supply contracts. Set up energy services company to purchase electricity from wholesale market to supplement onsite generation, all for resell to residential and commercial tenants.

High Performance Building curriculum.

Construction Management, including buying out and managing trades and managing MEP commissioning, for green building projects. Led Sustainability for office. Major projects included National Sept 11th Museum at the World Trade Center Site.

Worked in commercial real estate group that subsequently split off to form Vidaris, as well as:- Member of USGBC LEED for Labs Core Committee, LEED for New Construction Core Committee and adhoc committee who consolidated LEED from multiple rating systems into one
