I designed, implemented, and owed the entire backend system and architecture that supported the TripAdvisor City Guides mobile apps which were highly rated in the app store and led to an eventual re-write of the flagship Tripadvisor app.I was responsible for syncing data from the TripAdvisor system, augmenting it with other data like walking tour guides, and designing a system to package and download map tiles for offline usage, prioritizing resolution for highly-trafficked areas for tourists in the city.
