My role is to develop and deliver a strategic plan for growing Apple's education business across the UK working with Governments, strategic education organisations and Executive Leadership along with the management and direction of various education programmes and initiatives.

In 2010 North Somerset Council awarded a ten year £100m contract to a commercial partner. In addition to leading on the development and delivery of the Council's ICT strategy for Children and Young People's Services and schools I was appointed Client Manager for HR and Payroll for the Council and for schools. Additional client services I managed included Transactional HR, Payroll, Finance and ICT. Responsibilities included:Developing and delivering the IT Strategy for the Council and Schools.Management of all the ICT systems across Children's Services.Developing and delivering the Local Safeguarding Boards E-Safety Strategy.Managing the ICT Strategy TeamManaging all North Somerset schools broadband and connectivity Contract management of schools Management Information Systems Managing the Councils school ICT capital budgetManagement of my budgets (in excess of £1m),Representing the Council at senior management level with our schoolsWorking with many other partner agencies from both commercial and education to deliver targets. Commissioning of innovative transformational projects to support new ways of working and the Councils Budget Reduction Programme for both the Council and Schools.

My role was to lead on the strategic development, direction and implementation of national initiatives set by the Government around anywhere, anytime learning using effective e-communications and ICT. I was offered the opportunity to develop the education sales business for Western Computer . Much like my Education Business Development Manager role at Western but commercially focused working mainly with the design and print areas of the market.

My role involved maintaining equipment, providing installations, configuration, support and maintenance to service users across the UK. I also provided consultations in partnership with the sales team. Having a technical support background has given me a huge advantage of practical experience with technologies such as LANs, WANs, structured cabling, Networking & system integration between Apple and Windows systems

I provided a wide range of IT support services to organisations across the UK.
